    Lighthouse Beach Park covers the entire eastern tip of Sanibel and is the first stop most visitors make after crossing the causeway. The 1884 Sanibel Island Lighthouse still stands here, restored and surrounded by walking trails.

    The point itself is a great spot for shelling because two currents converge — but expect company at sunrise.
